In de schaduwen van het Keezending

Hé, did you know there was a time I actually wrote stories... I mean real ones... I barely remember it either.
A couple of years back I actually participated in a contest called Fantastels. Basicly it a Dutch writingcompetition for novice and veteran writers alike in the genres of fantasy, horror and science fiction. Somewhere Steampunk fits in there, although I am never sure what category to choose when making turning in my submissions... Seriously, in other competitions my stories were either not sciencefictiony enough or to futuristic.
Anyway, if you write fantasy or scifi and you wanna know were you stand, Fantastels is awesome because they'll actually send you a report with their verdict.

The reason why I bring this up is because one of my submissions has been included in this anthology of steampunk short stories! I guess that makes me a published writer now... Or something. It's all Dutch off course. BUT THAT IS NO REASON NOT TO READ IT! Seriously, I don't get people who don't read Dutch fantasy because it's Dutch fantasy.

Anyway, get 'In de schaduwen van het Keezending' here. You can't get it for a better price. It's free. NOT CHEAP! Free. That is totally different!

RAGTAG deployed during DESC

On the 25th till 28th of July, RAGTAG will be on the Dutch Steampunk Convention, held during Fantasiafest in Meppel.
Just like on Fantastyval they'll bring the course with us them for the kids, age 10 to 100, for them to  storm. They will be drilled by our expert instructors in mastering the art of throwing grenades, firing (nerf)guns and to cross obstacles. And yes, it will be bigger than the first time!
The course is open from certain times through the day and closes for the night on 18:00.

During the event grenadiers will patrol the terrain, on the lookout for scoundrels, wrongly parked timemachines and possible recruits.

RAGTAG will also be experimenting with volunteers. Being a true grenadier is not easy, but many
steamers and non-steamers alike would like to experience what it is like to be a grenadier. And now you can! For Desc the regiment is still looking for volunteers.
