REVENGE OF CRUQUIUS: Chapter one

Welcome to first Chapter of REVENGE OF CRUQUIUS. A small comic strip project by... Nobody in particular really. So to start of, this is in noway a Tupperware Steampunk project. This is a collaboration of several Steampunks that happened to be at a Steampunk Shoot at Cruquius in march 2014, organised by Elenarsa Sweers. Cruquius is an old pumping station (seen below), which also happens to be one of the largest steam-machines left in existence, that was used to pump the water out of an area now know as 'Haarlemmermeer' around 1850. Now it is one of the oldest technical museums in the world... So, in that respect, this installation is kind of a big deal.

Anyway, the comic was purely incidental and not planned out at all. A matter a fact, the idea came when most pictures were already being post on facebook. Some people remarked that some of these pictures could be arranged in a story and that pretty much set to whole thing of.

All chapters of the comic will be viable on facebook soon, so no use to watch this blog if you want to read it immediately. When the comic is done thou, the whole thing will be archived on my main site, www.tupperwaresteampunk.nl.

So what is the point of placing it here? Well, because of the story above actually. For me, all whole lot came before the shoot at Cruquius. So this is going to be a commentary, but more of that next time. Please enjoy Chapter one of REVENGE OF CRUQUIUS.

Chapter one.

1933 - Cruquius, North-Holland in the Netherlands

Emma discovers that the water pumped through the Cruquius has been poisoned, causing the waters to get polluted and its inhabitants to get contaminated with the CL-virus. This is disastrous for the wildlife that reside here, but also for the people of the villages surrounding the Cruquius as it is their drinking water.

Stay tuned for the next chapter!
