Elfia, one
of Europe’s biggest fantasy fairs has gone and went once again. This April it
was, as always, on the estate of Castle De Haar, in Haarzuilens. The weather
could have been better, but I had lots of fun. I aslo have done some interviews
with ghosthunter Mickey Knox, writer Terrance Lauerhohn and the explorers of
Steampunk expedition. I hope to post
those soon.
There were
some new Steampunk additions, like the aforementioned ghosthunters and Steam Pop
Machine, a popcorn and cotton candy machine made by the sisters Alice and Kate.
Unfortunately, the ladies were too busy for an interview, but here you can find
their website If you would like to know more.
As for the rest of the event, it was what you can expect from Elfia. Music, market, games and of course lots and lots of costumes. The highlight was probably the musical debut of Abney Park to Elfia, on Saturday. I wasn’t there unfortunately, because the performance was in the evening, but I’ll try to be there next time. But if you interested you could watch their performance on youtube, like this video by AndrĂ© Broens.
